Car Related Vids

since we don't have one that's dedicated to cars only, I figured I make one. there's some funny moments in this vid, but I don't think it belongs in the funny video thread.

Now that is a NICE car. The fender fins above the front wheels make the car look like the batmobile. I wonder if that car will ever make it to the states. If it does, I'd be shocked if the carbon fiber body is retained.

It's a great car. the Super GT came out with new rules so the NSX can't compete in it. they have been designing this car for a little bit as the new NSX, but they said that more than likely it will not come out. The NSX has been taken out since it's a mid engine. the new rules for the class that they compete in states that it needs to be a front engine car.

Looking at the pics, seems like the whole body except for the roof is Carbon Fiber.

The Honda NSX might be gone, but it's set to live on as the HSV-10 GT in Japan's SuperGT championship.

Although we don't have an official release or specs yet, we do have the image above and some preliminary details on the HSV-10 GT or Velocity Sports Honda. Built to the 2010 GT500 regulations, the new front/mid-engine racer from Honda is packing a 500+ hp, 3.4-liter V8 and sending power through the same Ricardo sequential manual gearbox fitted to the 2010 SuperGT cars from Nissan and Toyota. Underneath all that glorious carbon fiber is the same chassis Honda's been working on (originally as an NSX replacement) for the last two years. The SuperGT season opener is scheduled for March 20 and 21 of 2010, but we expect more details and a host of high-res images to hit soon. Stay tuned...

Here's a much clearer video, but too bad it's so short. I just wet myself watching it.

Well, the Super GT 500 in japan is underway and here's a clip of a HSV-010 getting sandwiched by 2 other HSV-010 causing an accident.

I would love to pop VTEC in this. Even though it's been 20 years since it was first produced, I still think that this is one classic design that people will always remember and know what car it is when they see it.
